SAFE2026 International Conference – Kazakhstan
Activating Resilience
The 12th International Conference on Sustainable Agriculture, Food, and Energy
SAFE2026 represents the 12th International Conference on Sustainable Agriculture, Food, and Energy, continuing the SAFE-Network’s long-standing commitment to advancing sustainable agriculture, food security, and environmental resilience.
Since its inception, the SAFE-Network has served as a vital platform connecting researchers, academics, policymakers, and practitioners to exchange ideas and innovations that contribute to a more sustainable and resilient global future.
The SAFE journey began in 2013 in Padang, Indonesia, where the inaugural conference laid the foundation for more than a decade of transdisciplinary collaboration. Following its early success, the network rapidly expanded across Asia and beyond, fostering regional and international partnerships.
After a brief pause in physical gatherings during 2020–2021 due to the global COVID-19 pandemic, the SAFE-Network returned stronger than ever, reaffirming its mission to address pressing challenges in sustainability, food systems, and environmental resilience.
In 2026, SAFE reaches a new milestone as it convenes in Almaty, Kazakhstan. As the first SAFE conference hosted in Central Asia, SAFE2026 plays a pivotal role in advancing the SAFE-Network Mission 2026 by promoting sustainable practices, strengthening regional collaboration, and responding to global food and environmental challenges.
